I got back into BJJ after my old club closed down a few years ago. This place is straight class. All the instructors are great, there’s a good variety of training partners. Mats are always clean, community is extremely friendly and welcoming.

Awesome facilities. Good coaches. Attended fundamentals and no-gi advanced. Fundamentals was very structured. Coach did a good job walking around making sure the technique was being applied correctly. No gi advanced was awesome. More unstructured with lots of live training, allowing everyone to work on what they wanted in a more controlled environment than an open mat.

I was reluctant to initially take my 3yr old daughter to a Jiu Jitsu class given my protective nature and my inexperience. But my wife and I are so glad that we made the decision to go to Progresso. My daughter was so nervous in the beginning, and now thanks to the 2 amazing coaches as well as Marilyn at the front desk, she can't wait to attend! The facility is easy to find, safe, easy parking, and very clean. My daughter gets 1on1 attention and her respect and overall development has increased so much. I recommend this group for any age group as I see the older kids having a blast after our session too. Thank you Progresso!

Amazing experience with everyone at Progresso Jiujitsu. Expert instruction and coaching from Davi. He frequently helped students make small adjustments to elevate their training. Very talented and respectful training partners. Davi said it several times, “you are family now” - which speaks to genuine culture of this gym. Had a great time training her for a gi and no gi class and would highly recommend!

My family and I were looking for an academy where we could drop in while visiting family in the area, as well as a place for our kids to train when they spend their summers here. We’re so glad we found Progresso. The facility is clean and well maintained, and the bathrooms include showers, which is a huge plus. From the moment we walked in, the young lady at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful, providing us with class information and pricing. We are a family of four and have been training for quite some time, so we really appreciated how accommodating everyone was. Our young adult daughter attended the no-gi class on Tuesday evening and absolutely loved the training and the level of the other athletes. The following morning, my husband, son, and I joined the no-gi class as well, and it was a great experience. Thank you to Professors David and David (I believe) and to the entire welcoming community at Progresso. As a military family, we were especially proud and grateful to learn that Progresso offers family and military discounts. We truly appreciate the hospitality and the rolls, and we hope to return again in the future. OSS.

Highly recommend for all levels and families! My wife and I (youthful 40's) were passing thru from California and found this gem of a training academy online. The manager/owner gave us a free trial to include out 2 kids, 19 daughter and 16 son, and it was AMAZING. I'm a hard believer of fundamentals and got the honor of rolling with 2 of the adults that definitely had solid foundation. Very warm and welcoming. Another immaculate Texas training facility. Outstanding restroom WITH showers! Plenty of cubby space for belongings and benches for spectators. High quality tatami mats for grappling and falling.

I started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2017 and I have been training at Progresso since 2020. Jiu Jitsu is very unique. Initially it can appear that it is a solo activity, but you soon learn no one improves unless they have a supportive team around them. The team Alexander Trans has built at Progresso is second to none. There is a strong sense of teamwork and pride among everyone who trains at Progresso. The gym is kept very clean and is well maintained. The atmosphere is very friendly and inviting. I would recommend Progresso Frisco to anyone from a person ( child or adult ) with zero experience to someone who is a seasoned professional. You are going to get a great workout in and you are going to learn something new.
